Sub for Santa 2019

Helping hand for Santa

This recent Christmas season Jamie Lee Foundation was fortunate to participate in helping even more families than last year–as well as a senior in an assisted living center.

While Jamie Lee Foundation’s annual Sub for Santa is focused on providing for the needs of those who are hurting during the Christmas season, there is no question that it rewards all those who join us in helping others. We thank all those who donate money, time, and talents to our effort!

Auto Safety for a Family

A single mother heard grinding noises coming from her wheels and discovered she needed over $500 in brakes and rotors for her vehicle–as well as new tires–for a total bill of over $1,000! With the help of some volunteers and generous businesses, Foundations of Liberty was able to replace her brakes, rotors, and tires for under $350.

Presenting Christmas

Jamie Lee was also able to help provide gifts from Santa for 5 families and over 20 children. Just recently, 3 of the families had both parents become unemployed, while the other two families comprised a single parent and grandparents raising grandchildren. Confidentiality of the families (and more importantly the safety of the children), prevents us from sharing photos of so many joyful faces, but we thank those who helped identify those in need and the donors who provided funds to bless these families.

Parents and grandparents shared their deep gratitude and relief for the help all our volunteers provided to make Christmas magical for their children.

Food Storage for Seniors

Assisted living facilities strive to provide meals for all their residences that are nutritious and can address most medical conditions. But occasionally someone has enough restrictions, coupled with requirements, in their diet that a more customized approach is required.

Thanks to the donations received from our supporters, we were able to provide a food hutch for a senior with multiple health issues that required additional food items for them to supplement the facility provided meals. Jamie Lee Foundation was also able to stock it with food to last 3 months as a kick-off for the year!
